At Trueplay, we’ve been constantly searching for mechanics that would let casino operators optimize player acquisition spending and benefit from returning, emotionally connected users. Last year, our efforts materialized (metaphorically speaking) into a new product — CopyStake.

CopyStake allows hosting gameplay sessions on an iGaming platform and simultaneously streaming them on popular platforms like Kick and Twitch to drive traffic and generate extra revenue from wagers. How? During these streams, users can co-play with a streamer by automatically copying their bets, sharing the wins and losses.

CopyStake modes

Businesses can choose among three modes, selecting the option that best fits their user engagement and integration preferences: Bet Behind, Copy in Pool, and No Code.

With Bet Behind, players automatically make the same bets as a steamer. To join the fun, they only need to set the size of their bets and click Start. The mode is compatible with slot games.

During Copy in Pool streams, players put funds into a shared pool managed by a streamer who is playing live. Users get a portion of each win and participate in every bet according to their contribution share. Copy in Pool supports all game types.

Both modes require backend integration.

No Code allows hosting sessions where users сan join Wheel of Fortune giveaways and watch streamers play. One can integrate this mode quickly and easily, as the setup primarily involves the frontend.

We explain how each CopyStake mode works in this video:

Streaming features

The tool offers gamification features that tap into people’s innate desire for achievement, social recognition, and anticipation of big wins, leading to increased session duration and betting activity. Also, several features are designed to encourage interaction between players and the streamer and enable operators to scale streaming operations in a cost-efficient way.

Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune enables prize giveaways for players who copy streamers’ bets. When used in Bet Behind and Copy in Pool, it helps businesses encourage viewers to participate in the gameplay. Wheel of Fortune is a field-tested feature for boosting customer engagement in the iGaming industry and beyond, and we couldn’t leave our clients without it.

Jackpot

Jackpot is another well-known attraction that iGaming brands can use to motivate customers to play and spend more. The Jackpot draw starts once users fill a virtual jar that represents the target amount. This total is built up from copied bets, with the operator determining the percentage of each bet that’s contributed to the goal.

Operators that go with the Bet Behind or Copy in Pool modes can diversify streams with Jackpot draws.

Player and winner leaderboard

During each stream, CopyStake records players’ bets and wins and displays these statistics in Top Winners and Top Players rankings. This feature incites a sense of competition among players.

Become a Streamer: from players to brand ambassadors

The feature gives players an opportunity to put on the hat of a professional streamer on the iGaming website. On the surface, Become a Streamer empowers the users: the operator shows that they believe in new talent among their customers. At the same time, the feature helps online casinos to promote themselves organically and scale their streamer teams for free. Particularly, businesses can:

  • Expand the streaming schedule and keep the CopyStake lobby active
  • Attract more active players to the iGaming platform
  • Increase brand awareness across social media and streaming platforms through user-generated content
  • Grow amateur streamers into brand advocates

New feature — AI Streamers

AI Streamers is the solution behind a buzzing CopyStake lobby — without the prohibitive price tag. With this feature, operators can create virtual streamers that run interactive broadcasts 24/7. That way, every minute of the day is used for converting viewers into active players.

What these digital employees can do:

  • Start broadcasts, open games, and understand in-game events
  • Comment on gameplay and chat with viewers
  • Encourage players to copy bets during the stream

What they won’t do:

  • Engage in any behavior that could damage brand image
  • Show up late to streams or be completely unavailable
  • Request compensation and bonuses

Feel free to learn more about the feature and its advantages in our dedicated blog article.

Social gameplay features

To make broadcasts feel like friendly hangouts, we’ve added a live chat. Players can also send emoji reactions when they feel like it and pleasantly surprise streamers with monetary gifts, as tips often speak louder than words.

Managing CopyStake: admin panel

The admin panel serves as a control room for CopyStake. Here, operators set up the tool, manage permissions, streamer information and settings, schedule, games, and all other features discussed above, and monitor GGR. To ensure clients can set up and use the streaming tool with confidence, we created a video guide and a manual with step-by-step instructions on every control and feature. And if customers feel even slightly confused, tech support agents will come to the rescue ASAP.

Acquire and engage to the max

CopyStake unlocks new user acquisition channels and revenue streams for iGaming brands. Gameplay broadcasts become another reason for players to log in more frequently and try their luck on the platform, while the streamers act as social glue. And what does a crowd of emotionally invested players mean? Right! Growth in critical performance metrics, such as player lifetime value, average revenue per user, session length, first-time deposit, and ultimately GGR.
